Austin, the Silicon Valley of the South.

In Austin today and tomorrow to 1. explore future opportunities 2. just get out of Palo Alto. Unfortunately, I have been busy most of time - on the phone, in front of computer screen or just lock myself in the hotel room. But even for the little spare time I had, I have found this place to be quite amazing.

I was absolutely anticipating getting overwhelmed by the standard southern accent before I came here. But to my great disappointment, this place is filled with non-locals. This says a lot, especially when you are evaluating the growth rate of a place.

I was supposed to work tonight. But instead, I got myself a ukulele. This new toy totally destroyed whatever plan I have made for the night. But I LOVE IT.

P.S. a side note, people in Austin seem to be extremely friendly, much more so than Californians, or Bay Area-ians.
